A Prayer for Lepers

I pray that we would see ourselves as lepers needing to be cleansed and when we are cleansed through His blood we are sanctified.  That we should not live a life of arrogance, but one of peace.  I pray for the lepers who need to be cleansed yet still.  I pray a prayer of intercession on their behalf.  I pray that they would realize that they are falling apart and that they have a very painful disease inside them.  I pray that they would realize that there is help in the person of Jesus Christ and that He will be there to pick up the pieces.  Life is too rough to handle on your own and there is no reason to keep you from living an abundant life and a life filled with purpose.  I pray that you are cleansed and that your soul is made clean in the washing of the blood of Jesus Christ.  I pray if you have been cleansed by His blood that you will go into this world as a leper that has been cleansed to tell the world of what He has done in your life not with a spirit of arrogance, but one of humility.  I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Prayer for our men and women in service

I pray that God would strengthen those who have chosen to leave their families to fight for this great country.  That He would lift them up on wings like eagles.  That they would run and not grow weary.  I pray that He would comfort them and give them peace in their hearts.  I pray that they would find healing in Him when they are wounded and that He would keep them from harm.  I pray that if their lives are taken that we would remember them honorably and not with hate.  I pray for peace and that they provide peace.  I pray that they would have the strength and the courage to fight with honor and defend this country for the freedoms that we hold so dear.  I pray a special angel of protection over all our military.  May God have mercy on their souls.  Amen.

A Prayer for the Church

I pray that we would serve the one true God in Spirit and in Truth unified through the bond of peace.  Let us always use Your Word as our reference point and never rely on our own abilities.  We can do nothing apart from Christ.  I pray that we would promote unity in the Body and that each member would know what role it plays and not be a stumbling block.  I pray that we will always keep Christ as the head of the Church and not wash over topics that could be fierce to tackle.  I pray over the leadership of our churches and that they would be given the knowledge they need to lead their congregations through anything that would come.  I pray that our worship would be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear and that it would not be a stumbling block to anyone as well.  I pray that we always glorify, always praise, and always learn in Your presence.  Help us to be reverent, but also praiseworthy.  I lift up the Church and it's Angels and pray for unity and healing amongst all believers.  In the name of Jesus, whom we come to praise.  Amen

Prayer for the Christian Marriage

I pray for strength in the Christian marriage when it is attacked by the evil one.  He lies in wait to destroy it like a venomous snake.  I pray that men would lead like men of faith and build up their relationship with their mates and with the Lord.  I pray that when trials come, they will face them head on and seek guidance from their Heavenly Father.  I pray that women would be supportive of their husbands and love them as Christ loved the church and be there to ease the burden.  I pray that those who have chosen the single life or who are not yet married, would live a life of purity and integrity.  I pray that men would keep their thoughts focused on their wives and not to stray into unrighteousness paths.  I pray that they would keep their minds pure and holy and pleasing to the Lord.  That they would think only of what is pure and noble; anything that would be praiseworthy.  I pray that they would seek guidance from above in making decisions and live not with a spirit of timidity, but of power.  I pray that women would have the strength to let their husbands fail at times and be there when they do to encourage them.  I pray that they would live a simple and pure life.  I pray that the burdens that will come into this marriage will strengthen it and the bonds that man and wife have for one another and for the Lord.  I pray a hedge of protection around each mate and I pray that the message that the Christian marriage sends to this world is powerul and effective.  Let it always be a witness to those walking in darkness.  Help it to be exemplified in the person of Jesus Christ and His Church who He is coming back to save.  I pray that Christ be the Head of your Christian marriage until death or until He returns.  In all these things, I give glory and honor to Him who saves, Jesus the Christ.  Amen

Prayer for our nation

God I pray that we would love those who need love, stand up for what's right, and find our way back to you.  That we would come to you before others and depend on you alone.  That we would always trust, always defend, and always uphold to your Word and meditate on it both day and night.  I pray that you guide us and direct us and give us peace that surpasses all understanding.  I pray that you give us the knowledge to lead and to be lead and to give everything we have for Your Kingdom.  Let us not dwell on the things of this Earth, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  Help us to stay One Nation Under God.  Help us to teach our children to fear you, but also to love you and be committed to you.  Help us to defend our freedoms both domestic and foreign and go into every nation professing the name of Your Son.  Give us strength in times of weakness and weakness in times of strength.  Never let us forget our heritage, but let us press on towards the Goal.  Lead our leaders.  Teach our teachers.  And let us serve You in Spirit and in Truth.  Lord have mercy on us in times of tribulation and protect us from evil.  For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever and Ever.  In Your Faithful Servant's Name, Jesus Christ, above all else.  Amen
